I can tell you that both power on, the variable function works on and have shield. EUC Pair of RPS Studio 250-750 Variable Quartz Light, model Q-750/120V, I am not a photography expert so cannot tell you much about these lights beyond what find online. One shield has some minor bends in it but nothing that would affect its performance. I'll be glad to answer whatever I can.

As shown in the pics bulbs work but on one of units a single bulb is different from others.
